Who We Are

Friends of Black Hill & Morialta is a not-for-profit charity which has been protecting and restoring native vegetation in South Australia for more than 37 years. We are a community-based conservation group providing volunteer help to South Australia's parks, paying particular regard to the protection of threatened species. We host fun, educational events and regular interactive restoration programs as part of our projects to protect native habitat.

We Recognise the Traditional Owners

The Friends of Black Hill and Morialta acknowledge the Kaurna people and their Native Rights to Country holding over the Adelaide Plains area, including in the parks in which we work. We respect their long and ongoing relationships with their land, their customs and their beliefs which are just as important today as they have been for thousands of years, prior to colonisation. We also pay our respects to Elders, past, present and emerging.

Free a Tree

Help free a significant tree from olives today so our local wildlife still has a home tomorrow. The Free a Tree project in Black Hill Conservation Park is saving significant eucalyptus trees long term as a community driven project.
