President's Report

Paul Farmer | Published on 6/29/2024

Welcome to the Winter edition of our newsletter. After a dry few months, it is pleasing to see the rain and the new growth in the bush.

The Committee continues to work with our Rangers and their support is very much appreciated. We continue to meet regularly to track our progress against this year’s plan, and look for further opportunities.

Our membership is now 100 and our recent survey has given us a great insight into your thoughts about what we are doing. As a first response to the survey, there is a short article about Donations in this newsletter.

Work on the ground has been busy, with Volunteers contributing about 500 hours in the last 3 months. We know from our survey, that many people appreciate the chance to make a difference, and enjoy the support and experience of our Project Coordinators.

To complement this work, Contractors have been out on the ground in the Amber’s Gully Freeing Trees and working in the East Block to remove weeds from the Bandicoot habitat and this week they have started work in the Chestnut Rumped Heathwren Habitat in Horsnell Gully.

In Spring we have further work planned across the Parks, and we are turning our thoughts to 2025.

Thanks again for your support.
See you in the Park
