President’s Message March 2025.
Although it has been a dry start to the year, as a group we have got off to a great start, with good attendance at the regular habitat restoration events, contractors on the ground along Fox Hill Track, in addition to a successful grant for additional work in Black Hill and donations received.
The committee continues to meet monthly and we will soon have fabulous looking FoBHM-branded t-shirts available through our website
In addition to this, we have found ourselves in a position where we will need to increase our standard individual membership fee from $15 to $20 per year. Other membership fees will increase as well, but we have held our concession fee to $10, an increase of only $2 per year.
We are currently working with the Biology Society of SA to commence a BushCare+ Program at a number of sites, with the aim of building a strong partnership between the two groups to not just undertake bushcare, but also share learnings about bush regeneration and science.
The committee is currently applying for three more grants to allow us continue the contractor work across the Parks.
Thanks again for your ongoing support.
