Top of Horsnell Gully habitat restoration
About this event
The top of Horsnell Gully Conservation Park comprises stringybark heathland with a diverse and beautiful range of flora. Come along to help maintaining this unique native vegetation, home to the yellow-footed antechinus, southern bandicoot, and chestnut-rumped heathwren.
Drive up Old Norton Summit Road. Turn right at The Scenic Hotel then enter the Summit Community Centre carpark. Due to limited parking we will pool into two cars, then drive to the entrance to Horsnell Gully CP (south gate) on Coach Road.
Event is subject to weather and local conditions. The terrain is steep in parts, so please consider this when registering.
Wear sturdy shoes for going off track. Bring your hat and sunscreen, some drinking water if you like. We also recommend long sleeves and trousers to protect your legs and arms from scratches.
If you prefer to use your own gloves bring them along too, otherwise we will have some for you.
If the fire warning rating is severe or higher this event will be automatically be cancelled. Wet or windy weather may also cause the cancellation of this event.
