Why join?

By joining the Friends of Black Hill and Morialta you are actively supporting our work on the ground and all the activities hosted by the group. The Friends of Black Hill & Morialta is run 100% by volunteers, so all membership fees are used directly to support our conservation programs and costs. Financial support is needed for many things: providing equipment which is required for us to be able to work in the parks; propagating plants; hosting educational activities in the parks; keeping members and the public informed about events; paying contractors to do tasks which are too dangerous for volunteers or require sensitive techniques; administering the Friends group and even helping to pay the cost of providing this website.

You do not have to be an active volunteer to be a member, and you do not have to be a member to volunteer or donate but we value each and every one of our members as they provide the support we need to continue operating as we do.

Whilst membership fees are essential for us to be able to operate there are also the following member benefits:

Regular newsletters updating you on works on the ground and upcoming events
Invitations to member only events
Access to the Friends library.

In addition members who are regular volunteers obtain the following benefits:

free training courses
invitation to other natural resource management events
for volunteers giving around 40 hours a year of their time a free 12 month Multi Parks Pass for many of South Australia's Parks.

Membership types and costs

Concession	individuals who are eligible for concession membership include students, pensioners and unemployed	$8.00/year
Individual	individual membership	$15.00/year
Family	a family living at the same address	$20.00/year
Group	for schools, clubs and other community organisations	$10.00/year
